JUMP ROPE FOR THE HEART

Jump Rope For Heart is a national educational fund-raising program that is sponsored by the American Heart Association. Elementary school students are encouraged to help raising funds to support lifesaving heart and stroke research.

Students ask friends and family for donations and receive thank-you gifts based on the dollars they raise. Besides that students get to spend 1 to 2 hours jumping. This educational program not only teaches physical fitness, but promotes the value of community service. It shows students that they can make a contribution to their communities.

This year here in Alamosa, Boyd Elementary School held the event at the Adams State College Indoor track. In The Arena was there to witness how all these kids let their hearts out to contribute to such a wonderful cause. I have a great video to post, but I am having touble uploading it.. Stay Tune- Its Cool!
